i love my drawing class

3 big things today. it was a good day.:

1. my roommate from cbc (heidi) has just gotten engaged, i am very happy for her!!! not to mention that her engagement pictures are so incredibly adorable ...

2. I GOT A GRANT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have money. praise the lord. so happy.

3. i'm making the most ridiculous piece of art. SO RIDICULOUSLY HUGE. it's like it's taking on it's own life. it's a quilt. i bleached it, then i dyed it with coffee in my bathtub. today in critique my class climbed into it and we transformed it into a wearable performance piece. brilliant. the photos are excellent and i will do something wonderful with them once i figure out what that is. it was probably the most euphoric art experience i have ever had.

So Where Are You Going?

Hasn't anyone realized prior to be becoming an art major that I KNOW it's not a stable choice for a career, not going to bring in a lot of money, and is not predictable, and furthermore why I have chosen it?
